Basic Job Function: The Product Marketing Manager provides product line support for program strategy, sales readiness and channel support. This position requires close interaction with marketing communications and sales management. Strong communication skills are a must. Duties include converting technical positioning into key market messages and launching the products into market. Qualifications: 1. MBA or equivalent experience, requires minimum of 3-5 years product and solution marketing experience, with some B2B professional marketing experience preferred 2. Technology product marketing experience, including product launch, preferred 3. Track record of thriving in a complex, multi-cultural, matrixed environment with virtual teams of high-level professionals in business units across the globe 4. Strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation, writing and negotiation skills 5. Business orientation with an understanding of how to translate business solutions into marketing strategies 6. Proven success driving results 7. Proven ability to build strong relationships at every level of the organization 8. Strong influencing skills 9. Pragmatic Marketing Certification and Training preferred. Accountabilities: 1. Define buyer personas and determining market messages 2. Create, maintain and deliver against product launch plans 3. Identify best opportunities for lead generation 4. Create standard presentations and demo scripts 5. Write white papers and technical communication 6. Document and respond to competitive threats and related industry news 7. Facilitate direct sales and channel training 8. Support trade shows and other company-sponsored events 9. Provide limited onsite channel support and phone assistance 10. Provide customer feedback regarding pricing (in context of overall value proposition) as a means of ensuring aligned pricing structures 11. Direct market research priorities for product marketing related priorities such as claims research, customer perceptions and attitude, user behaviors 12. Communicate Product Management priorities to Marketing, Segment Planning and Sales |
