Job Information

Designs, develops, and implements software packages for web sites. Troubleshoots, debugs and implements software code. May require a bachelor’s degree in a related area and at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field (i.e., Ruby, PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript). Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required.

The principal function of a developer is to apply knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems to write a computer program to perform various tasks in accordance with agreed upon specifications. The SEM Systems Architect will work with the SEM Expert and SEO Manager to set these specifications.

• Create applications using the Google and Yahoo! API(s) for SEM team use & reporting.
• Create applications/solutions using PHP, MySQL, Ruby and/or Cake for Custom Website and SEM team use.
• Work with LNMH IT teams to make SEM data more available to the company.
• Work with Custom Website team to maintain & distribute WebTrends data.
• Serve as a backup & advisor to the Custom Website coding team.
• Work with Coding Team Lead to establish coding best practices documentation.
• Work with the SEM Expert to react, devise and develop new Internet tools on an as needed basis.
• Test & document all of the above
• Maintain an up to the minute technical knowledge of Internet programming languages and usage
